Colleagues at parcel carrier Yodel’s Liverpool head office have donated a generous amount of food and household products to the South Sefton Foodbank in Bootle, north Liverpool.

Raymond Morris, a delivery driver based at Yodel’s Sandwell depot, is celebrating 40 years of service with the independent parcel carrier.

Esther Davis (74), a Customer Service Support Advisor at Yodel’s Warrington depot, is celebrating 45 years of service with the independent parcel carrier.

Yodel today announced the launch of its updated customer app, aimed at providing customers with a more personalised parcel delivery experience this Christmas. The launch follows a record year of growth for the business, as it continues to invest in new technology and innovation.

With COP26 taking place this month, our impact on our environment and ensuring we are a sustainable and forward-thinking business is high on everyone’s agenda. With big efforts being made to reduce our CO2 emissions through identifying alternative delivery methods and to use alternative fuels publicly shared, we have smaller initiatives internally where big steps are being made to be green at Yodel. We spoke to Gemma Downey, Head of Network Support Services about the efforts being made across our operational sites.

Yodel has invested over £1m in a state-of-the-art new sortation system that is specially designed to handle delicate and irregular shaped parcels. The investment follows a record year of growth for the business, with it scaling up capability to handle a broad range of specialist items.

UK independent parcel carrier Yodel has announced that it is looking to recruit 4,311 new colleagues as the business prepares for what is expected to be a busy festive period.
