Llanelli Yodel colleague celebrates 30-year anniversary
Tanya James, who works in customer service at Yodel’s Llanelli service centre, is celebrating 30 years of service with the independent parcel carrier.
Having initially joined the Llanelli team as a temporary parcel sorter over the Christmas period in 1990, her role was soon made permanent. She was promoted to high value clerk and then to customer service support, the role she has carried out since 1992 working alongside Beverley Smith who also recently celebrated her 30-year anniversary.
Both Beverley and Tanya are the longest serving employees at the Llanelli service centre. To celebrate Tanya’s anniversary, Kay Dodd, Service Centre Manager, presented Tanya with £750 of gift vouchers.
Tanya James, Customer Service Support for Yodel commented : “My role at Yodel has changed over the years but I’ve enjoyed every second. What was supposed to be a six-week temporary position resulted in covering maternity leave for office staff and I am still here 30 years later! I look forward to continuing to work with all my colleagues, which I am proud to call my family, here at the Llanelli depot.”
Kay Dodd, Service Centre Manager for Yodel added : “Tanya is one of our most cheerful colleagues and always sees the brighter side of things so everyone at Llanelli wants her on their team! She is an excellent team player, always available to help, support or take on extra work when needed. She has a lovely rapport with all staff, colleagues and managers alike with her infectious smile, sunny disposition and good humour."
