Willenhall Yodel colleague celebrates 30-year anniversary

Joe Patidar, who works in Yodel’s transport team at Willenhall, is celebrating his 30-year anniversary with the independent parcel carrier.

Joe joined Yodel in 1990 as a sorter, loader, and driver – performing delivery duties, collections and trunking at the local service centre. He rose through the ranks over the course of his 30-year career, fulfilling a variety of roles including Night Operations Manager.

In 2010, Joe was appointed Senior Shift Manager and in 2013 he was given the opportunity to manage the whole of Willenhall sort centre. In 2016 he became the Transport Yard Shift Manager and has remained in this role since.

To celebrate his anniversary, Andrew Evans, Regional Transport Manager, presented Joe with a £900 voucher for Very and a certificate to celebrate his work anniversary.

I have watched the logistics industry be transformed by state-of-the-art technology, making for a slicker, more efficient delivery operation – to the benefit of the customer. “When I joined the company my goal was to manage a sort centre. I can proudly say that I was able to achieve, and I am grateful to my team and the business for all of their support over the years.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Joe through the years at Hams Hall and Willenhall. We managed to convince Joe to move to the transport team this year and I consider him to be one of our top catches of 2020.
