Our Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment
As a sustainable and purpose-led business, our people, our communities, and our environment are an important part, and a focal point for Yodel by InPost moving into the future. Our 2023/2024 CSR report outlines the important sustainability and social initiatives we have in place to support these areas.
Environment
At Yodel by InPost we have measured our carbon footprint for over 8 years and used the process to shape our carbon reduction strategy, removing approximately 20,000 tonnes per annum of carbon in absolute terms over that period. In
terms of an intensity factor, we have reduced our carbon per parcel delivered by approximately 44% since baseline in 2016. An achievement we are extremely proud of.
People
We strive to provide the internal structures to support this approach via a number of initiatives and programmes to support our colleagues to enjoy what they do. Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), the Yodel Academy, our
Yodel Colleague Foundation (YCF) and an unrivalled commitment to health, safety and wellbeing all contribute to making Yodel by InPost a great place to work. With nearly 120 Mental Health First Aiders and Champions, providing a peer-topeer outlet for our people across our network, we could not be prouder of our team for embracing our colleague-to-colleague support system.
Community
Yodel by InPost has always played an active role in the communities in which we operate, through our local community programmes lead by the individual efforts of our colleagues, employment opportunities and more recently, via environmental-led initiatives.
Company-wide support for veterans and the battle against modern slavery, are complemented by local support of community organisations on a broad range of issues. This local engagement is more important than ever currently, as energy poverty and food poverty threaten those on low incomes and disadvantaged communities across the UK.
Throughout our operational network we remain committed to helping our communities through challenging times and building long-term partnerships.
Our CSR Report was compiled using the data captured by our third-party carbon reporting partners for the period of 1st July 2021 to 30th June 2023. Yodel by InPost has been measuring carbon footprint since 2016 and using the data to contribute to our sustainability strategy which is detailed within this report.
