In 2015, after probably one of the hardest peak seasons encountered, we quickly realised we needed another UK carrier to work alongside us to ensure our customers receive a good delivery service.

After meeting with various carriers we opted for Yodel because of the team's attention to detail and understanding of our customers' needs.

When we partnered with Yodel in April 2016 we quickly noticed that deliveries were more than meeting our expectations, which in turn resulted in less customer contact due to Yodel's excellent tracking detail.

We have the full support of the Yodel customer services team, which really helps our own customer services department deal with any queries that we receive.

All collection times have been met with no real issues and we have had excellent support throughout our peak period even at times when we thought this was not possible.

Yodel is always looking at ways to improve our delivery and support us 100%.

Our account manager is always on hand and no task is to big or small.

World Book Night

"World Book Night is a complicated event to organise. It sees 20,000 boxes of books delivered to half a million volunteers, via a network of thousands of bookshops and libraries who act as collection points. Each volunteer then gives their 20 books to people in their community who don’t regularly read or have access to books and hundreds of events celebrating reading are organised.

It takes place on April 23 and rather like Christmas, the books all have to be there at exactly the same time with late or missed delivery meaning a very sad World Book Night for some. In the past we’ve experienced almost every delivery hiccup possible, particularly as the use of bookshops and libraries as delivery intermediaries adds another layer of handling to an already complicated process.


Yodel’s experience, expertise, knowledge and efficiency meant that we had the smoothest process we’ve ever had and far and away the most accurate and successful delivery – leading to the highest percentage of successfully given books we’ve ever seen.
